NEW DELHI: Coronal galloping continues in India, with the number of infected people now crossing six lakhs . Increasing the recovery rate is a matter of little relief.
In the past 24 hours, 19,148 cases have been detected and 434 have been died . With this the number of infected persons in the country has increased to 6,04,641 and the death toll to 17,834.
Of the total infected, 3,59,860 were cured and discharged from the hospital and remaining 2,26,947 are the active cases as the Central Department of Health and Family Welfare reported.
Maharashtra tops the list with 1,74,761 cases followed by Tamil Nadu with 90,167 cases. Delhi is third in the nation with 87, 360 people being infected
