Japan: Disaster Management Agency of Japan says that the death toll from the recent floods has risen to 50 and 12 people are missing.
Friday’s late night rain in Kyushu, the southern region of Japan, have caused widespread flooding.49 people died from towns adjacent to the river Kumamoto province. One person has died in Fukuoka province, according to the Fire and Disaster Management Department.
Military forces, police and other rescue workers continue to operate in the heavily damaged riverbanks along the Kuma River.
