The first Kisan Rail from Karnataka flagged off at 4.45 pm on Saturday from Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna railway station from Bangalore, to Delhi’s Hazarath Nizamuddin station containing 30 tonnes of vegetables and other agricultural products.

This train is running exclusively for farmers of the country to make their transportation work hassle free, aimed at helping them transport agricultural goods especially perishable commodities, at cheaper rates than other modes of transportation.First Kisan rail departed from Anantpur in Andhra Pradesh to Adarsh Nagar in New Delhi on September 9 and this is the second Kisan rail from south India.
