New Delhi:  Nine Al Qaeda terrorists were arrested this Saturday morning  as multiple raids were carried out in Kerala and West Bengal, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) said. The raids were conducted in West Bengal’s Murshidabad and Kerala’s Ernakulam.

While 6 terrorists were arrested from Bengal and 3  terrorists were arrested from Kerala in the early morning raid.The accused from Kerala have been identified as Murshid Hasan, Iyakub Biswa and Mosaraf Hossen. Those from West Bengal have been identified as Najmus Sakib, Abu Sufiyan, Mainul Mondal, Leu Yean Ahmed, Al Mamun Kamal and Atitur Rehman

Incriminating materials including digital devices, jihadi literature, sharp weapons, country-made firearms, home-made explosive devices have been seized from them, the NIA said. These terrorists were radicalized by Pakistan-based Al-Qaeda terrorists and were motivated to undertake attacks at multiple places in India.Their plan was to travel to Kashmir and supply the weapons to kill the innocent.
