New Delhi: Our Prime Minister is known for his ability to surprise the nation by his actions, and he did so, Retired Lieutenant General DS Hooda said,
He also said that Modi had surprised country’s people by visiting Leh on July 3, visiting wounded soldiers, attending briefings and by giving a inspirational speech.
Hooda said the visit was significant in the wake of ongoing disagreements between India and China’s forces in eastern Ladakh. Opinions have emerged that military-level talks could lead to peace. But after the collision in the Galvan Valley on June 15, that promise was shattered.
For the past two months, China’s Foreign Ministry has been talking about maintaining peace by reducing tensions as quickly as possible. But, they are busy strengthening their military positions on the border too.
D. S. Hooda said that Modi’s visit to Ladakh is an indication that this behavior of China is not acceptable in the territory of India.
