The farmer unions’ call for the ‘rail roko’ on Thursday has forced the Railways to either cancel or divert several trains in the northern part of the country. The Northern Railway has cancelled the Darbhanga-Amritsar Express Special till February 17. The Nanded-Amritsar Express will short-terminate at Chandigarh.
On February 19, it will short-originate from Chandigarh and remain partially cancelled between Chandigarh-Amritsar. Meanwhile, Sukhdev Singh Kokri General Secretary of the BKU (Ekta) said that the railway blockade will last four hours from noon to 4 pm.
