Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot urges PM Modi to hold direct talks with farmers over Farm Laws

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold “direct talks” with the farmers protesting against the Centre’s agriculture sector laws in order to resolve the issue in the aftermath of the violence in Delhi on Republic Day

Gehlot said the NDA government still had an opportunity to correct its stance and reverse the decision on the controversial farm legislations. There is still a chance for the Government to correct its ill measures. I believe the Prime Minister must take cognizance and talk to the farmers himself. There is nothing wrong with changing decisions. It happens in a democracy. People will welcome it,”
